Estes transportadores s\u00e3o constitu\u00eddos por rolos montados numa estrutura comum, sobre os quais as mercadorias s\u00e3o movimentadas. Os transportadores de rolos s\u00e3o utilizados em linhas de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, instala\u00e7\u00f5es de triagem postal, armaz\u00e9ns e at\u00e9 em \u00e1reas de caixa de supermercado. Um \u00fanico transportador de rolos cont\u00e9m normalmente dezenas ou centenas de rolos estreitamente espa\u00e7ados, acionados por motores ou pela gravidade. Cada rolo roda em torno do seu eixo sobre dois rolamentos, e \u00e9 a qualidade destes rolamentos que determina em grande parte a longevidade do transportador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por exemplo, numa instala\u00e7\u00e3o de triagem postal, um \u00fanico metro de pista de rolos pode conter 10-15 rolos, cada um suportado por dois ou tr\u00eas rolamentos.
