Estos transportadores constan de rodillos montados en un bastidor com\u00fan, sobre el que se desplazan las mercanc\u00edas. Se utilizan en l\u00edneas de producci\u00f3n, instalaciones de clasificaci\u00f3n postal, almacenes e incluso en las cajas de los supermercados. Un solo transportador de rodillos suele contener docenas o cientos de rodillos muy pr\u00f3ximos entre s\u00ed, accionados por motores o por gravedad. Cada rodillo gira alrededor de su eje sobre dos rodamientos, y es la calidad de estos rodamientos lo que determina en gran medida la longevidad del transportador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por ejemplo, en una instalaci\u00f3n de clasificaci\u00f3n postal, un solo metro de v\u00eda de rodillos puede contener entre 10 y 15 rodillos, cada uno soportado por dos o tres rodamientos. Con sistemas de transporte tan extensos, gestionar el mantenimiento de tantos rodamientos -que requieren lubricaci\u00f3n, sustituci\u00f3n y reparaciones constantes- puede ser todo un reto.
